Summary:

As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving financial success by providing strategic financial analysis, insights, and support to the CFO and Sales Head. Your expertise will directly influence business decisions, optimizing revenue generation, profitability, and market competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Planning:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze sales performance, pricing strategies, and market trends.

- Develop and maintain financial models to project revenue, expenses, and profitability for different product lines and sales channels.

- Identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement through data-driven insights.

Sales Strategy Support:

- Partner with the Sales Head to evaluate potential growth opportunities, new markets, and expansion plans.

- Provide financial guidance for sales incentive programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.

- Assess the financial impact of proposed sales strategies and promotional activities.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Contribute to the annual budgeting process by providing financial inputs and collaborating with relevant stakeholders.

- Prepare accurate and timely forecasts that guide business decisions and resource allocation.

- Monitor budget performance and variances, offering proactive solutions to address deviations.

Business Performance Reporting:

- Create and present comprehensive financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and actionable recommendations.

- Provide insights on revenue growth, customer profitability, and sales pipeline analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

- Support the CFO in evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships from a financial perspective.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

- Identify financial risks associated with sales activities and propose strategies to mitigate those risks.

- Assist in credit risk assessments for customers and distributors, ensuring prudent credit management practices.

Process Improvement:

- Continuously streamline and enhance financial planning and analysis processes.

- Implement best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Qualifications:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8 plus years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the Consumer Goods industry.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Excellent communication skills for effectively presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to working across departments.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software/tools.

- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand market dynamics impacting the Consumer Goods sector.

- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
