Commercial IT Lead - India & Southeast Asia

Global Fortune 50 Tech Giant with Revenues of about 3000 Cr in their India operations is seeking a senior IT professional reporting to the India CIO with an understanding and experience of IT services and application in the Sales, Marketing & Distribution areas.

Key Business Accountabilities.

- IT Systems and Processes used by the Agricorp group, Marketing, and Product Management teams, which are focused on India and Southeast Asia.

Scope of the Job.

- Work closely with key business stakeholders to understand business objectives and strategy. Requires engagement with 2 Regional Marketing & Product Management Leads, and 6 Country Sales and Marketing Teams.

- Work closely with Global Commercial IT Networks, to understand Global Commercial IT strategy. Requires engagement with at least 1 Global IT Network.

- Develop IT strategy to support business objectives and strategy. Must provide a consistent IT strategy for a business teams, across regions and countries. Align IT strategy with Global IT direction, and industry trends. Communicate IT strategy effectively, and gain buy-in.

- Plan and propose IT systems, processes, resources, and projects to fulfill IT strategies. Must incorporate Global IT initiatives. Secure business and Global IT support, and funding.

- Manage a team of 1 - 2 IT Business Analysts and Project Managers, to scope and implement IT systems, processes, and projects. Augment team with contractors as needed.

- Manage contracts and relationships with IT vendors and internal, Monsanto IT teams, that host systems or provide other technical services.

- Ensure that IT systems are available, reliable, and compliant with Monsanto IT policies. Also ensure that business users are satisfied with system function, performance, and support. Plan and implement system enhancements, lifecycle changes, and user communications as needed.

- Ensure that IT systems are adequately supported, and that support expectations are clear to the business.

- Maintain an operational budget to support base IT activities, and IT project budgets.

- Develop team members to improve their performance and professional capabilities.

- Participate and contribute as a member of the Asia IT Leadership Team, to provide direction, promote engagement, and develop talent for the Asia IT Organization.

Core Competency/Functional Skills and Education.

- Should have an overall experience of 10+ years with a good exposure to people management and development.

- Strategic planning experience.

- Good business acumen, and eagerness to understand business and Monsanto's customers.

- Strong proposal skills and experience building compelling presentations

- Strong people management skills.

- Experience managing SG&A and project budgets.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Solid understanding of the needs of the key end-user roles and a customer-first mentality

- Ability to work cross-functionally across all levels in a large, matrixed organization

- Ability to summarize and communicate complex information for multiple audiences (i.e. laypeople, executives, IT personnel). Must also be able to structure and facilitate meetings.
