Commercial Head - Automobile Dealers/Showroom
Experience Required: Minimum 15+ years in Automobile Dealership Operations

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Head to oversee the P&L, budgeting, revenue tracking, and cost control for our automobile dealerships across Bangalore. The Commercial Head will be responsible for managing inventory, supply chain operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team to ensure excellence in all commercial operations. This role also requires a strong focus on customer relations and a keen understanding of the automotive retail market.
Key Responsibilities:
Profit & Loss (P&L) Management:
- Own the overall P&L for all showrooms in Bangalore.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure profitability across all operations.
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and take corrective actions to meet financial goals.
Budgeting and Revenue Tracking:
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for all commercial operations.
- Track and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue performance.
- Implement strategies to drive revenue growth while maintaining cost controls.
Cost Control & Financial Analysis:
- Oversee and optimize operating expenses to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Ensure that financial procedures and policies are followed across all departments.
Inventory Management:
- Lead the management of inventory for all showrooms.
- Ensure optimal stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure timely replenishment of vehicles and parts.
- Work with suppliers to manage supply chain risks and ensure availability of products.
Supply Chain Management:
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring timely deliveries, reducing lead times, and minimizing disruptions.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, logistics providers, and suppliers to ensure efficient product flow.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements within the automobile industry.
- Oversee compliance with taxation, labor, environmental, and other commercial regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Commercial Operations Leadership:
- Lead and manage all commercial operations in the dealerships, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Establish performance benchmarks and ensure operational KPIs are met.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the commercial operations team.
- Develop training programs and ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment while maintaining high levels of motivation and engagement.
Customer Relations:
- Ensure a strong focus on customer satisfaction across all showrooms.
- Work closely with the customer service team to resolve issues and ensure customer retention.
- Implement customer-focused initiatives to build brand loyalty and long-term relationships.
Strategic Planning & Market Analysis:
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to develop strategies that enhance dealership performance.
- Identify new business opportunities and lead initiatives to expand market share.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align commercial goals with overall business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in a senior commercial role within the automobile dealership industry.
- In-depth knowledge of P&L management, budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control techniques.
- Proven track record in inventory and supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the automobile industry.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and other commercial management tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
- Experience working in a multi-location or multi-dealership environment.
- Exposure to digital transformation in commercial operations (e.g., e-commerce, online sales tracking, etc.).
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced and results-driven environment.
- Occasional travel to different showrooms and dealerships across Bangalore.
- A highly collaborative and customer-centric work culture.
