Commercial Cards Sales - Global Consulting firm - Contractual

Our client, a global consulting firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Card Sales Manager for a 12-month contract based in Dubai, UAE. The role requires a professional with strong experience in the UAE banking sector, focused on growing and managing a pipeline of B2B opportunities, particularly in large market segments. This position is pivotal to the strategic objective of expanding commercial card sales and B2B payment solutions, working closely with key Financial Institution (FI) partners to drive sales growth and align with the bank's broader commercial objectives. Success in this role will be evaluated based on pipeline growth, conversion rates, and effective onboarding and activation of new clients.
Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of large market and B2B opportunities, meeting KPIs around pipeline value, conversion rates, and time-to-revenue.
- Sales Strategy & Content Development: Develop and refine sales materials to effectively communicate and influence commercial card offerings, utilizing assets and resources as necessary.
- Deal Generation & Closure: Drive sales by identifying and securing partnerships with FI clients for card and invoice-led solutions, ensuring seamless integration with their sales teams through training and knowledge development.
- Client Engagement & Activation: Oversee client onboarding, support activation, and monitor first usage to address issues, collaborating with the Commercial Product team for resolution.
- Stakeholder Management: Identify key bank stakeholders to enhance partnership alignment, working closely with the Commercial BD team to update SFDC on opportunities.
- Direct-to-Corporate Activities: Engage with large and mid-market corporates to drive usage among high-procurement clients, supporting revenue growth and meeting customer needs directly.
- Reporting & Improvement: Regularly update Commercial team management on progress, proposing process improvements and sharing performance through dashboards, committee meetings, and status updates.
Your Background:
Experience: 10-12 years of experience in commercial cards sales and business development within the banking sector, with specific experience in the UAE market.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the commercial and corporate card sector, particularly across industries such as Travel, Oil & Gas, and Education.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven sales track record with the ability to independently generate and follow up on leads.
- Superior interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Ability to effectively manage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to deliver solutions for customers.
- Self-motivated, with high energy, a proactive attitude, and excellent execution capabilities.
- Strong team player with a commitment to team contributions and knowledge sharing.
People Management: Experience managing and developing sales teams, including facilitating training to ensure partner sales teams.
Other Important Information:
This role is based in Dubai, UAE, and the initial term is set for 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. It offers the opportunity to work closely with the strategic commercial and FI partners, with regular performance metrics tracked against pipeline conversion, client activation, and revenue generation KPIs.
