Key Account Manager - Direct Trade

What is the purpose of this role?
You will be a key member of the Direct Trade business within the overall Sales team, and will report into the Sr Regional Manager for Direct Trade. Direct Trade business is a fast growing and dynamic channel, and we are taking some ambitious goals on it. The role will manage relationships with some strategic customer(s), and engage cross functional teams within Colgate to drive business by ensuring availability, visibility and the right assortment.
What would be the responsibilities for this role?
- Sales and Shares Targets.
- Achieving Customer Level and category-level sales values to deliver the Net Sales planned for the year.
- Deliver higher share than general trade, and vs historical trends for all our categories through detailed diagnosis and appropriate deployment of strategies by geo.
Customer Engagement:
- Continuous engagement with the customers, driving JBP/ JVC and T2T engagement with them. Managing Customer Claims and processing them in timely manner.
Executing the 6P strategy:
- Ensuring all the 6Ps are implemented as aligned in the quarterly Grids including Promotions, activations, Content, pricing, visibility implementation.
- Analytics and Sharing Best Practices.
- Sharing of learnings and best practices to build a future ready organization.
- Using the Offtakes and results of activations to build a strong CP Learning on what works and what doesnt.
- Continuous focus on competitor activities/ behaviors in the market.
- Using tools to identify insights to build long term plans.
Promo and Budget Planning:
- Planning Customer level spends and ensuring P&L at customer level is maintained.
Operational Efficiencies:
- Owning Customer level Commercial business planning (CBP) to ensure stock planning is done.
- Engaging with Field / operations team to ensure smooth delivery of business.
What are the competencies, skills and experiences required for this role:
- 3-5 years of overall Sales experience with at least 1 yr of experience in Modern Trade Key Account Management.
- Experience in CPG industry preferred but not mandatory.
Education :
- Bachelors Degree or Master's.
