Cognizant - Forex/Commodities Strategist

Responsibilities will include :

- Conceiving, implementing (with analyst support), and publishing research on global foreign exchange and precious metals markets (as well as other asset classes)

- Supporting analyst(s) with frequent large-scale data analysis requests

- Preparing high-quality client presentations

- Working with the team to track key global economic trends and draw implications for the relevant FX, rates and precious metals markets

- Sharing views and analysis, and responding to inquiries about foreign exchange, rates and precious metals from internal clients within the firm

- Collaborating with colleagues on market calls and broader thematic analysis

Desired Qualifications :

- Post-graduate degree in Economics, Finance or related field, ideally with significant depth in macroeconomics and statistics courses

- 2-5 years of total working experience in financial markets, preferably in macroeconomics/FX/precious metals/fixed income research

- Excellent command of spoken and written English

- Familiarity with Haver and/or Bloomberg

- Familiarity with modern econometric and data analysis techniques

- Practical experience with econometrics/statistical packages and external economic/market databases

- Strong attention to detail, and ability to occasionally work quickly and accurately under tight time pressures
