Equity Strategy Associate

Position Description :

- The position is of an Associate with a Top ranking Equity Strategy team with a reputed Investment bank client of ours, who are responsible for the formulating and presenting the Firm's view equity investment recommendations across.

- Conduct macro-economic and financial research and analysis of Emerging Markets to generate investment ideas and build strategy recommendations.

- Analyze fundamental drivers and financial information for key sectors and stocks in European Markets.

- Play an active role in driving the research process, building the investment case, report writing and marketing efforts for the team's reports.

- Respond effectively to research requests and questions from institutional clients, internal equity sales teams, economists and other analysts.

Desired qualification :

- Post Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics or related field.

- Strong background in macroeconomics and financial markets.

- 3-4 years of working experience in financial modeling/ valuations, industry research/equity research domain preferably with an Investment Bank or Financial Advisory or Private Equity or KPO or Captive Investment Bank etc.

- Sound statistical knowledge and comfortable working with large dataset.

- Prefer people with some financial modeling/valuation experience.

- Excellent IT skills related to data manipulation and interpretation, excellent knowledge of VBA.

- Hands on experience with external research databases such as Bloomberg, Datastream, MSCI, IBES and CEIC to obtain key financial data such as market performance, valuations and earnings estimates, company financials, as well as economic data, and global financial news and events.
