Title : Research Scientist - Cognitive User Experience
The IBM Cognitive User Experience Research Lab in Cambridge is looking for creative Research Scientists at various levels of experience to support our cognitive computing research agenda. Our lab builds and studies novel technologies and applications in the areas of artificial intelligence, social media analytics, social computing, data visualization, and visual analytics. Our Research combines a user experience driven approach with applied analytics / machine learning.
The ideal candidate for this position brings a passion for designing, building and studying novel / experimental systems at various scales. You will work both individually and with small research teams to help envision and realize cutting-edge ideas through rapid prototyping and deployment. You will work in a fast paced environment that questions the norm and fosters creativity. Applicants possess outstanding communication skills and they must instinctively know how people will want to use a product, service, or solution that solves a real world business problem.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience :
- Experience in artificial intelligence, machine-learning, data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, text analysis, or knowledge technologies, e.g. Lucene, SOLR, Spark, TitanDB, Python, R. MatLab, NumPy, Mahout etc.
- Experience in human-computer interaction approaches and methodologies, e.g. experimental design & analysis, user experience design etc.
Work Locations : Bangalore / Hyderabad / Kolkata / NCR / Pune / Chennai
