Job Title : Associate Vice President/General Manager Finance

Location - Mumbai, Corporate Office

Reporting to: CFO

Relationships Internal : All Functional Heads and Employees

Relationships - External: Relevant Statutory Bodies, Professional Consultants and Customers.

Role:

Render supports to the CFO to analyze investment opportunities, trends and strategic plans for the business groups. Ensure development and implementation of all financial policies, procedures and controls; lead the business planning process and integrate it with the corporate financial plan. Provide financial tools, offer advice and corroborating analysis to the Operations team for various business verticals. Monitor and address any issues related to the financial performance of the organization.

Responsibilities will amongst other things include:

Planning

- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

- Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

- Develop financial and tax strategies

- Manage the capital request and budgeting processes

Operations

- Support the CFO in key decisions

- Manage the accounting, investor relations, commercials, legal, tax, and treasury departments

- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies

- Liaison effectively with third parties (vendors/auditors etc.)

- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems

- Implement operational best practices for the Finance function

- Supervise M&A activities

Financial Information

- Oversee the issuance of financial information

- Prepare & assist in presentation of all financial reports to the board of directors

- Responsible for evaluation & compliance with the emerging requirements under the IND ASs, IFCR & direct & indirect taxation & corporate laws

Treasury Functions

- Monitor cash flows & working capital requirements for the organization

- Liaison with Bankers for necessary fund requirements

Experience and Background:

First attempt CA with 10 + years of post qualification experience, preferably from service industry. Should have experience in partnering with senior executive teams

Experience:

- 5+ years in strategic planning, management consulting, business & financial analysis

- Must have spent significant time developing corporate level strategies

- Must be well versed in preparation & presentation of business cases

- Extensive knowledge of the logistics/cash management industry preferred.

- Prior experience in commercial/supply chain division would be an added advantage

- Experience in cross border activities will be an added advantage

- Exposure in working closely with Private equity an added advantage

- Prior experience in ERP implementations to be a significant advantage

Competencies:

- Possess ability to conceive, create, and deliver persuasive business cases to CFO & Board of Directors (Strong strategic thinker)

- Possess ability to analyze & benchmark competitive scenarios and evaluate strategic partnership opportunities

- Having proven ability to develop financial models, perform valuation and develop forecasting models

- Excellent written and oral communication skills; consistently communicates using appropriate methods for situation and audience in clear, concise and professional manner

- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with multi-functional teams

- Be flexible, organized and able to handle competing priorities

- Excellent active listening skills and ability to dissect problems in an organized manner

- Self-motivator with a creative, innovative mind

- Should be tech savvy
