Job Description

Role:

Cloud Deployment and Operations - AWS Public Cloud.

The person will be responsible for designing, and implementing Public Cloud technologies. The role focuses on overall project technical and architecture design, solution, troubleshooting, knowledge transfer, and mentoring the project technical team members.

Must Have Skills / Knowledge:

- Hands-on experience, expertise in implementing AWS services viz. EC2 services, Various storage options EBS, S3 etc., Secured networking implementation using VPC, RDS, IAM, Route53, Cloud watch, Cloud security measures, AWS SES. Knowledge of application deployments and must be up-to-date with new AWS product and service offerings.

- Hands on Experience with various flavors of Unix/Linux with knowledge of scripting.

- Experience in Apache Web Server, Tomcat, LAMP stack at the operating level and well versed with monitoring and performance tuning of deployed applications.

- Experience in AWS Network administration, AWS instance monitoring, troubleshooting, deployment optimization, root cause analysis and preparing documentation

- In depth knowledge of Linux Operating System platforms

- Hands-on experience of working / troubleshooting Databases like Oracle, MySQL is required.

- Experience in infrastructure provisioning, application and patch management, monitoring and alerting, capacity monitoring and planning

- Ability to supervise and mentor technical team members to work on emerging technologies.

- Should possess ability to prepare, review and present documentation of new automated processes and technologies.

Desired

- A good knowledge of NoSQL DBs MongoDB, Cassandra will be an added advantage.

- Knowledge in one of the monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia, ICINGA etc.

- Candidate should have a keen eye and acumen for automation of repetitive manual operations.

- Support call co-ordination with AWS, SSL certificates and Licenses / Renewal co-ordination, AWS SES issues handling

General

- A person having strong oral & written communication skill who is expected to communicate with primary customer and other stakeholders (app teams, operations team) on a daily basis.

- Good proven record of cloud project(s) implementation.

- Capability of independently Leading and Managing AWS support projects
