Role: Cloud Consulting Architect
Experience: 13 - 20 yrs
1. Primary Responsibility:
- Understand business need, analyze the problem statement, conduct market research and recommend Business Units on cloud infrastructure, transition plan, managed Service Providers, contract terms and conditions, budgeting and associated security controls/risks.
- Responsible to craft and develop Cloud agnostic solutions, translating business requirements into scalable, flexible and secure cloud architectures.
- Will need to guide and consult the team in design, estimation, planning, and implementation of cloud migrations and deployments.
- Build relationships with Business Units and participate in business cloud strategy and drive/assist solutioning.
- Nurture partnership with Cloud provider/s, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) in identifying ways to collaborate further
- Deep understanding of IT Infrastructure architecture to recommend Business Units on continuing with on-prem or transitioning to cloud
- Good understanding of Cloud Security controls, tools and standards
2. Skills:
- Have hands-on expertise/experience in designing, building, and operating solutions within one or more of the primary public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- SME on Cloud Infrastructure, Architecture related to Cloud Instances, Cloud Storage, VPC, Autoscaling, Security Groups, Cloud watch, Cloud Trail, Cloud Formation
- Experience with modern cloud-native deployment techniques such as DevOps and/or DevSecOps
- Know how to architect for scale, resiliency, reliability, security, and performance
- 5+ years of hands-on, expert-level experience designing and supporting complex, 24x7, mission-critical hosted solutions
- Experience specifically related to design and operations of systems with Cloud providers and one of the public cloud certifications.
- Experience with microservice architecture pattern; Docker or Kubernetes.
- Develops platform comparisons, detailed cloud platforms comparatives, conducts market research, provides MSPs comparatives, technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations etc
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels - engineers to top management
- Ability to catch-up quickly with new Cloud Services.
- Good experience with backups and Disaster Recovery.
- Strong background experience in IT Infrastructure - Network, Security, Servers, Midrange
- Preferred Qualification Certified in AWS, GCP, Azure - Associate / Professional level
