Role & Responsibilities :

To accomplish their core duty of designing and implementing complex computer systems, Infrastructure Architects are responsible for many tasks. We analysed several job listings to identify these core Infrastructure Analyst duties and responsibilities.

Infrastructure Architect Skills :

Core Skills :

- 10+ years of experience with at least 4+ years of experience on any cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure services and their limitations

- Experience working on/with microservices architectures, web services, Rest APIs & API Gateways,

- Have experience building and deploying as containers on a cloud platform using an automated CI / CD pipeline.

- Strong understanding of core architectural concepts including distributed computing, scalability, availability and performance

- Expertise in setting up a Kubernetes cluster and ability to design and implement end-to-end container management solution.

- Experience in configuring & monitoring different attributes and handling scale up and scale down scenarios for the application in cloud

- Application monitoring through operations insights, application insights

- Provide best practices around provisioning production and non-production environments on Cloud to optimize the usage

- Have good understanding in the implementation of advanced security, authentication and single sign on across cloud and on premise

- Strong understanding of the advantages and limitations of various Cloud services.

- Have implemented a Dev Ops model on Cloud

- Have evaluated products/technology & created IT Roadmap for adoption

- Have adopted end to end automation

- At least 3+ years of experience working in an Agile team

- Must have proven technical experience of working in a complex IT infrastructure environment

- Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally, and in the written form, to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver technical internal presentations

- Ability to work well with others and as part of a technical team

- Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; ability to identify patterns and generate informed ideas

- Focus on the business and end user's needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour

- Ability and willingness to proactively accept, and drive, change to accomplish positive outcomes

- Ability to understand strategy and align tactical and strategic work in a well-balanced way

- Must have knowledge of how to lever technology to reduce operational costs and delivery business innovation in a fast moving and dynamic industry sector

- Professional competency in at least one technical specialization, with broad understanding of other current and emerging technologies.
