Cloud Applications Architect

Mphasis NEXT Labs for Cloud is looking for an entrepreneurial, talented and motivated Cloud Applications Architect with deep expertise in Cloud transformation, assessment, architecture and development in leading corporate environments. The individual will be responsible for building and or migrating enterprise applications to secure and scalable cloud architectures. The architect will work on cloud based solutions and work with clients on consulting and advisory roles. The individual will work with a cross-functional team and will have superior solutioning, people management and industry vertical exposure. This position will partner with our business and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives into architecture, design and development. The role required leadership capability, focus on client relevance, self-motivated, exceptional analytical and problem solving skills and ability to present convincingly to technical and non-technical audience. The architect will translate business and technology requirements into cloud solution architectures and provide thought leadership to influence technology roadmaps through world class Cloud solutions and IP driven innovations.

- Experience: hands on Cloud assessment, development and migration experience with at least 5 years of architecting, designing and delivering enterprise-grade, distributed, applications.

Skill sets required

- Solid knowledge of developing cloud reference architecture and technology roadmaps for solutions across public private and hybrid delivery models.

- Leads, collaborates, and communicates architectural vision to architecture, development, and executive teams

- Work with Development Managers, Program Managers, Architects, Software Engineers as well as identify and mentor critical engineering talent and technical leaders

- Develop enterprise architecture recommendations, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, platform standards, domain models and technology strategies.

- Hands on exposure to Cloud Architecture consulting, Cloud Management & Operations, Cloud Migration & Integration, Cloud Security, Cloud Tools, frameworks and accelerators, Reference Architectures and Cloud Migration frameworks

- Design around DevOps/Continuous Integration model, implement robust security measures and practice DevOps and agile principles

- Architecting solutions involving one or more cloud service providers including Amazon AWS Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud as well as Cloud Foundry private cloud implementation

- Architecting public private and hybrid cloud solutions across IaaS PaaS and SaaS cloud providers.

- Experience with full-stack development using technologies such as PHP, Ruby, NodeJS, Python, and/or Java

- Working knowledge of development tools and practices such as Git, Jenkins, Test Driven Development, StatsD

- Working knowledge of Docker, AngularJS, WebSockets and NoSQL datastores such as Riak, Redis, Couchbase, Firebase, MongoDB

- Understanding of application design principles, practices, system development methodologies, and software life cycles with experience in a combination of system and application architectures.

- Should be able to work with cloud development using Pivotal; lifecycle monitoring and application performance management using tools such as ELK, Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic; Cloud assessment using Racemi etc.

- Strong communication & customer interfacing skills for effective CXO-level interaction.

- Strong conflict resolution and collaboration skills cutting across domain and technology teams.

- Ideate & create IP, build demonstrable innovative & path breaking PoC, prototypes, products, platforms, accelerators.
