Overview:  Founded in 2002 by President William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening integrated health systems around the world and expanding access to care and treatment for HIV I AIDS, malaria and other illnesses. Based on the premise that business oriented strategy can facilitate solutions to global health challenges, CHAI acts as a catalyst to mobilize new resources and optimize the impact of these resources to save lives, via improved organization of commodity markets and more effective local management. By working in association with governments and other NGO partners, CHAI is focused on large scale impact and, to date, CHAI has secured lower pricing agreements for treatment options in more than 70 countries. In addition, CHAI's teams are working side-by-side with over 30 governments to tackle many of the largest barriers to effective treatment and care.  The HCV team works towards addressing barriers to access and foster a healthy competitive marketplace for essential diagnostic testing and treatment for HCV. The team will work closely with diagnostics manufacturers, MoH, and other multilateral organizations to lower prices, increase access to testing and treatment, accelerate entry and uptake of new innovative products for HCV testing and treatment.  Responsibilities:  CHAI is seeking a highly motivated individual with outstanding credentials, analytical ability, and communication skills to support CHAI India in its HCV program. The candidate must be able to function independently and flexibly and have a strong commitment to excellence. CHAI places great value on relevant personal qualities: resourcefulness, responsibility, tenacity, independence, energy, and work ethic.  Specifically, key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:  - Mapping the existing HCV diagnostics and treatment in India in the public and private sector  - Mapping key suppliers for HCV drugs and diagnostics and working with to ensure early registration of new products .in India  - Support estimation of HCV prevalence and preparation of projections for demand for diagnostics and treatment  - Support development of guidelines for HCV, algorithms for testing and treatment with support from experts  - Development of training modules, job aids for training of lab technicians to conduct HCV testing and general clinicians for providing treatment to patients  - Assist the team to build strong relationships with government representatives, suppliers and other key opinion leaders and partners  - Support in drafting implementation plans and provide support for costing strategic plans, assisting with surveys, etc.  - Assist with the creation/optimization of operational systems to support various interventions planned for increasing access to HCV diagnostics, quality and affordable treatment and monitoring response to treatment  - Provide assistance to the Manager for budgeting, forecasting, supply chain management, and overall health systems strengthening  - Support development and maintenance of high quality data management systems; Design and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems to measure the impact of HCV testing and treatment  Qualifications  - Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of work experience  - Strong problem solving & analytical skills  - Experience in conceiving, planning and executing programs or projects with verifiable results and little external support  - Experience in composing high-quality briefs, proposals, technical reports, guidelines, SOPs is highly desirable  - Experience developing and managing demanding work plans and tight budgets.  - High level of technical proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word  - Ability to think proactively and solve challenging problems without extensive structural or operational support  - Able to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, both internally and externally.  - Ability to travel at short notice and on a regular basis  - Excellent business-oriented verbal, visual and written communication skills  - English language fluency, both written and verbal  Advantages:  - Experience in working for a management consulting firm or investment bank  - Demonstrated growth in responsibility in current or previous roles
