Clean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety. We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system.

Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy and Ankit Joshi, we are today rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W and 3W segments with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles as well. The team comprises multiple IIT, IIM graduates and industry professionals and we are backed by some of the leading Indian VCs.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and growth oriented Technical Program Manager to manage our programs as part of the Product vertical. This role will involve planning and optimizing our prototyping function, overseeing and coordinate the design and development process, ensuring alignment with our design, prototyping, production and business teams. This is a high ownership role reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer and high exposure to leadership. You will be contributing directly to building advanced batteries which redefining the boundaries the EV industry

Role Description and Key Responsibilities:

The role involves tasks including but not limited to :

Leadership & Management:

- Manage the planning and working of a team of engineers and technicians in the prototyping department, with coordination from the supply chain, design and business teams.

Prototyping Development:

- Oversee the assembly and development of product prototypes, from initial concept through to testing and refinement.

- Ensure prototypes meet industry standards, safety regulations, and performance metrics.

Project Management:

- Work as a bridge between the Product team and Prototyping team to get the product delivered and tested in an efficient and timely way.

- Manage multiple prototyping projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, quality assurance) to integrate feedback and enhance prototype performance.

Testing & Validation:

- Ensure implementation of testing protocols for battery prototypes to assess performance, reliability, and safety with coordination from our Validation and Testing team

- Analyze test data and iterate on designs based on findings.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of prototype designs, test results, project progress and assembly feedback report.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or a related field)

- Master's degree preferred but not mandatory

- 3 to 5 years of experience in product development preferably in the automotive, battery or energy sector.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Leadership and management skills including project management, design alignment

- Strong fundamental of basic engineering principles in mechanical or electrical or related fields
