Key Purpose Statement
- The Human Resources Manager (HRM) is responsible for maintaining an optimal Resource Mix that best addresses the manpower requirements of CKS, thus ensuring that sufficient resources are on hand, at any given point in time, to service Client projects and achieve the assigned Revenue Targets. The HRM shall also administer the established processes and systems enumerated in the CKS HR Manual. The HR Manager should be capable of working with creative and strategic level personnel as an equal. He / she should also have a strong and subtle sense of the ability of a candidate to fit into different kinds of highly specialized roles in the areas of design, research, innovation and strategy consulting.
Outputs and Accountabilities:
Planning and Budgeting
- Create a sustainable Resourcing Plan to ensure that CKS’ manpower requirements are met with the desired profiles and that, sufficient resources are available to service Client needs, thereby delivering the Revenue Targets assigned by the CEO
- Create an optimal HR Budget and formulate a Resourcing Mix that is capable of delivering the assigned Revenue Target, at an optimal cost
- Evaluate and reassess the Resourcing Plan and HR Budget on a quarterly basis, to keep pace with changing business realities
Recruitment
- Maintain an extensive network among various sourcing channels, ranging from Educational Institutions, website portals and print media, in order to create a reliable feeder system for CKS’ manpower requirements
- Initiate the recruitment process through the identified sourcing channels, upon receiving a Manpower Requisition from any of the other Departmental Heads
- Screen the various profiles to determine compatibility with CKS requirements and ensure that sufficient background verification procedures are performed
- Interviews candidates before handing over to the Project Manager / Leadership Layer for the technical round
- Conducts the final salary negotiations with candidates
- Sign the Offer Letter or Employee Contract once the candidate has cleared the final interview
- Conduct the induction procedures for new joiners (depending on their level of seniority)
Resignation/Termination
- Conducts the Exit Interview and verifies the Handover Sheet to ensure that all CKS assets have been recovered from the departing employee
- Whenever an employee’s services have been terminated, the HRM liaises with the concerned Departmental Head and then conveys the decision (to terminate services) to the employee
- Liaises with the Business Manager / Accounts Dept. for the Final Settlement of a departing employee
Performance Management
- Ensures that the Goal Setting process has been undertaken for all employees, across departments, and collates the documentation
- Conducts Annual Performance Appraisals and Interim Performance Reviews
- Collates all the Performance Ratings sent by other Departmental Heads and computes the Performance Incentive payable to each employee
HR policies and systems
- Ensure that employee databases, both electronic and paper based, are maintained and updated regularly
- Administers and enforces the policies and systems enumerated in the CKS HR Manual
Projects
- Liaises with the Leadership Layer to determine allocation of Project Managers (PM) across various projects
- Analyses the manpower position and decides on the allocation of project resources across various projects
