Head - Accounting Operations
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 100 accounting professionals, ensuring high performance, engagement, and professional growth within the team.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and processes to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee critical financial processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), cash management, order processing, revenue assurance, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end reporting, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Provide strategic guidance for accounting functions to ensure they align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
- Work closely with other departments to drive financial performance, support business goals, and improve operational outcomes.
- Analyze financial performance metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership for informed decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong internal control environment across financial operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, adopting best practices in accounting and financial management.
- Engage with stakeholders across the UK, US, and APAC regions, applying knowledge of regional financial practices.
- Lead and oversee the implementation of accounting systems to enhance operational accuracy and efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15+ years of experience in accounting and finance, including leading large accounting teams (100 members).
- Proven experience in drafting and implementing accounting policies and processes, and in managing AP, AR, cash management, and revenue reporting functions.
- Extensive knowledge of month-end and year-end reporting, with MNC experience as a strong advantage.
- Deep understanding of UK, US, and APAC accounting practices.
- Familiarity with implementing accounting systems to improve financial operations.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Salesforce, Workday FPA, Oracle NetSuite, and email tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
