The BP&A Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise.
Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Support the South Asia O&T (India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) Leadership Team in driving the transformation agenda and rolling out strategic initiatives across Digitization, Automation, Operational Efficiency, Regulatory, Risk & Controls, Stakeholder Engagement, etc.
Engage technology and operations partners where needed to implement changes and control implementations
Timely delivery of scheduled BAUs for South Asia O&T including Decks for various meetings, updates, periodic MIS, Dashboard, communications, townhalls, Newsletters, Projects Tracker, action items from senior leadership meetings/ reviews/visits/ other regional meetings.
Manage internal communications, including quarterly newsletter, awards, blog, 3E story and other activities to inculcate a culture of awareness, engagement, learning, gratitude and appreciation. Work with the corporate global communications team to ensure consistent messaging and strategy alignment in company-wide publications.
Support the annual regulatory inspection by coordinating with various O&T teams on the regulatory deliverables
Supporting assessment reviews aimed at identifying gaps to policy and standards, defining further improvement opportunities, trainings and best practices reviews with regional team
Managing the closure of control gaps identified by risk assessment process regionally
Regularly communicate and escalate to the senior leaders on gaps and progress on gaps/action items closure related to internal Risk Assessment findings.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years relevant experience
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Has excellent communication (written and oral), reporting and presentation skills, with proven ability to autonomously create clear written communications
- Has prior experience of handling communications andstakeholder management
- Has project/program management experience, with analytical problem solving skills
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy, when required
Education: Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
