Job Designation Head - IT / CIO / CTO

Grade BU Function IT/Technology

Primary Location Bangalore

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in computer science/IT or software engineering required; master's degree preferred.

Principal Accountabilities:

The incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing organizational information systems, software applications, IT support and infrastructure systems. He / She will typically direct and manage IT plans, schedules, policies, and programs for an organization's data processing, network communications, business operations, computer services, and management information systems, according to established goals and objectives.

Role Description (Duties & Responsibilities):

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Contribute to profitability with an understanding of the relationship between business and corporate-level technology strategy.

- Strategic direction for the business information systems, identifying and recommending new technologies, managing information programming, conducting feasibility studies, running systems analyses and approving the use of hardware and software services.

- Assess issues regarding information systems and create manageable solutions.

- Risk management, resource allocation, project prioritization, and research and recommendation of new systems, software products, and services.

- Develop and approve all IT policies and operations.

- Review and improve the organization's communications systems and IT infrastructure.

- Make technology-related decisions that align with the company's goals.

- Design and implement data protection processes.

- Help departments use technology to streamline processes, cut costs and increase profits.

- Monitor IT budgets and key performance indicators.

- Improve business processes and products using new or existing technologies.

- Ensure all technology practices comply with industry standards and legal regulations.
