About the Role:


- The Area Technical Manager - Loan Against property will be responsible for analyzing market trends, sales data, and other relevant information to determine property values.

- Additionally, the role involves team management activities on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities:

- Ensures that all valuation reports meet the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.

- This includes thorough review and validation of valuation methodologies, data sources, and comparable property analysis.

- Conducts peer reviews and quality checks on valuation reports and other related work products to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with established standards.

- Analyzes market trends, sales data, and other relevant information to determine accurate and justifiable property values.

- Stays abreast of market fluctuations and their impact on property valuations.

- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to real estate valuations (e.g., RICS, USPAP).

- Ensures all valuations comply with applicable regulations and guidelines.

- Provides technical guidance and support to the valuation team on complex valuation issues, methodologies, and best practices.

- Acts as a subject matter expert on property valuation.

- Manages and mentors a team of valuers, including performance management, training, and development.

- Delegates tasks effectively and fosters a collaborative team environment.

- Identifies opportunities to improve valuation processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices.

- Contributes to the development of valuation policies and procedures.

- Collaborates with internal stakeholders (credit, risk, sales) to provide valuation insights and support lending decisions.

- Communicates effectively with external stakeholders as needed.

- Maintains accurate records of valuations and prepares regular reports on valuation trends, market conditions, and team performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking or NBFC sector, specifically in property valuation for loan against property or mortgage products.

- Strong understanding of real estate valuation principles, methodologies, and techniques.

- Familiarity with local real estate markets and regulations.

- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
