Lead - BI and Data Warehouseing

The role reports to the Head of IT Applications

Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities :

- Business analysis to gather required BI system requirements

- Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to drive Data Lake/Data Warehouse/ data mart design and configuration

- Use ETL tools to load data store(s)/ data warehouse(s)/ data mart(s).

- Implementation of a Data Lake project (on prem & cloud)

- Transition developed BI systems to the Operations & Support team

- Provide support as required to ensure the availability and performance of enterprise data and BI environments for both external and internal users

- Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence

- Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members

- Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes

- Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision

- Drive and implement enterprise wide data warehouse

Required Skills

- Data Warehouse / Data Lake / Data Management Platform experience

- Data modeling Tools - QlikView, Tableau, Power BI and other data visualization tools

- Hadoop, SQL, Python and C#

- Critical-thinking and problem-solving

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- Candidates from Insurance Industry preferred. Candidates from retail sales organisations or in consulting firms with experience of working Retail Sales Organisations may also apply.
