Job Overview:
- The Head of Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities of the broking company.
- This role involves managing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, improving efficiency, and leading the operations team.
- The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the broking industry, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of financial markets and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:Operational Management and Process Efficiency:- Oversee back office operations, including trade execution, settlement processes, and client account management.
- Ensure smooth functioning of back-office operations, including documentation, record- keeping, and data management.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- DP settlement.
- MIS submission.
- Handle operations related to branch and head office.
- Manage cost efficiency in operations.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements set by SEBI, NSE, BSE, and other regulatory bodies.
- Stay updated with changes in regulatory guidelines and implement necessary changes in operational processes.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and auditors during inspections and audits.
Team Leadership:- Lead and manage the operations team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify opportunities for skill development and career growth.
Client Services:- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by providing efficient and accurate operational support.
- Address and resolve client issues and queries related to operational processes.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to enhance the overall client experience.
Technology and Innovation:- Work closely with the IT team to implement and maintain robust trading platforms and back office systems.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and technology-driven improvements.
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to keep the brokerage at the forefront of technological advancements.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Any Post Graduate.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the broking industry, with at least 5 years in a senior operations role.
- Proven track record of managing large teams and complex operational processes.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets, trading processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using trading platforms, back-office systems, and other relevant software.
