Position: Chief Transformation Officer (CTO).

Location: Delhi, India.

Company Overview:

An Indian conglomerate with diverse business interests across multiple sectors, seeking a visionary leader to drive strategic transformation initiatives, optimize operations, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Role Summary:

- The Chief Transformation Officer will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and leading cross-functional transformation programs across the conglomerate's various business units.

- Reporting directly to the Group CEO (or Board of Directors, as applicable), the CTO will work closely with executive leadership to design and implement strategies that enhance organizational agility, efficiency, and long-term profitability.

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in large-scale change management, innovation, and delivering measurable results in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Collaborate with the Board and executive teams to set the overall transformation vision, goals, and roadmap.

- Translate the organization's strategic imperatives into measurable transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market opportunities.

Change Management & Culture:

- Drive the adoption of new ways of working, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

- Champion change management best practices to ensure smooth transitions for employees and stakeholders.

Program Design & Execution:

- Oversee the design and implementation of large-scale transformation projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Develop frameworks, methodologies, and governance structures to monitor and measure transformation progress and outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Partner with business unit leaders to identify operational challenges, propose solutions, and harmonize processes across the conglomerate.

- Engage with technology teams to leverage digital tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies for process optimization and business growth.

Financial & Performance Management:

- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all transformation initiatives, ensuring clear accountability and transparency.

- Work with the finance department to allocate budgets, monitor expenditures, and realize cost efficiencies.

Risk & Stakeholder Management:

- Identify risks and potential roadblocks to successful project delivery and develop mitigation strategies.

- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, presenting progress reports and leveraging feedback for improvement.

Leadership & Team Development:

- Build and lead a high-performing transformation team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

- Mentor and develop talent to ensure the long-term sustainability of transformation capabilities within the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: MBA, Master's in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.

Experience:

- 15+ years of experience in strategic consulting, business transformation, change management, or a related field.

- Proven success in leading large-scale transformation programs in complex, matrixed organizations.

- Demonstrated track record in operations improvement, digital transformation, or M&A integration is highly desirable.

- Leadership Skills: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams effectively.

- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong data-driven approach for diagnosing issues, designing solutions, and measuring outcomes.

- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English and (ideally) Hindi or other regional languages.
