- A partner, and not just an employee - The belief in owning the product is critical to success.

- Experience on building networked applications - They use PhP (LAMP) on the server side and integrate that with their mobile application now.

- Experience in transaction management where volumes could suddenly spike (some distributors service well in excess of 500 retailers, and a lot of manufacturers have more than 30-40 such distributors in their portfolio). Getting and processing orders and inquiries in a reliable manner from a mobile application (working in low network conditions) is of supreme importance.

- Experience in developing scalable enterprise applications - the intent is to on board as many organisations (businesses) as possible in the shortest possible window. The system has to be designed to handle large number of customers transacting over it.

- Integration with disparate systems

- Ability to foster and build a coherent technology team
