Chief Technology Officer/Head - Cloud Infrastructure - Bank

As we scale, we are looking for a visionary leader to head our technology, security, and infrastructure functions-someone who can drive innovation, build scalable systems, and lead our tech teams with confidence.

This role is designed for a future CTO, where the right candidate will play a foundational role in shaping MyGold's technology vision, working closely with the leadership team to define architecture, security, and compliance strategies for a high-volume fintech platform.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technology Leadership & Vision:

- Own the end-to-end technology roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation.

- Drive architectural decisions for MyGold's Node.js & Flutter-based platform, ensuring high performance, low-latency transaction systems.

- Oversee the adoption of cutting-edge cloud infrastructure, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.

- Develop a high-availability system with microservices architecture, supporting millions of transactions.

2. Engineering & Development Oversight:

- Provide technical leadership to Node.js and Flutter development teams, ensuring best practices in API development, data security, and mobile performance.

- Optimize MyGold's backend stack, improving server-side performance, database optimization (MongoDB/PostgreSQL), and real-time data processing.

- Implement robust CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) strategies.

3. Security, Compliance & ISO 27001 Accreditation:

- Lead ISO 27001 implementation, ensuring MyGold is compliant with data security, cloud security, and regulatory best practices.

- Implement Zero Trust Security models, enforce cybersecurity protocols, and ensure data encryption & fraud prevention.

- Conduct penetration testing, risk assessments, and security audits to strengthen fintech security measures.

4. Infrastructure & Cloud Optimization:

- Scale MyGold's cloud infrastructure, ensuring 99.99% uptime for critical financial transactions.

- Improve disaster recovery time and failover strategies to minimize downtime risks.

- Enhance real-time monitoring & logging with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.

5. Team Building & Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Lead and mentor high-performing engineering, DevOps, and security teams.

- Work closely with business, product, and compliance teams to align technology with MyGold's growth objectives.

- Foster an engineering culture focused on problem-solving, ownership, and agility.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 12+ years of experience in software development, cloud security, DevOps, and fintech architecture.

- Hands-on expertise in Node.js, Flutter, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience in architecting scalable financial transaction systems with low-latency APIs.

- Knowledge of ISO 27001 security frameworks, fintech security protocols, and Zero Trust architecture.

- Leadership experience in building, scaling, and mentoring technology teams.

- Strong understanding of backend optimization, event-driven architectures, and NoSQL databases.

- Prior experience in fintech, banking, or high-volume transactional systems is a plus.
