Chief Technology Officer/Architect - eCommerce - IIT/NIT

Job Title: Chief Technical Officer/Architect

Job Location: Delhi NCR

Experience: Minimum 12 years of Experience with focus on running Startups revolving around eCommerce

Who can Apply: CTOs, IT Heads, Product Development Heads, Project Managers, Product Engineers, Founders from Startups with exposure in Product Development.

- A degree in Computer Science is required from leading IIT's/NIT's with 10-15 years of experience managing distributed computing/server core software engineering teams.

- The desired candidate should be holding a Leadership role from Product Based companies.

- Should be able to manage Managers, very senior engineers, QA etc in the team.

- Must be managing a team size of 20 members or more

- Will be responsible for the Delivery of highly available and highly reliable software

- eCommerce based product development exposure is must

- Influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with various leaders with the organisation

- Hiring, growing and retaining a strong team in an ongoing process and would build the IT team from ground-up

- The ideal candidate is a business and tech-savvy, analytical manager with a verifiable track record of managing and delivering enterprise projects on time and within budget.

- Candidates must demonstrate proactive technical leadership, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to multi-task and manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Experience in mass customization industry will be an added advantage

Build the best-in-class Platform Architecture :

- Expand on the current limited architecture in the context of the overall business plan and vision.

- Build a comprehensive architecture that takes into account a lot of data science objectives and long term vision for scalability.

- Review and modify the architecture over time based on changes to plans, challenges and opportunities that may be presented.

- Develop high level functional and design architectures and engage the senior team to develop detailed architecture that can help small teams code with significant clarity

Build Engineering Expertise :

- Drive culture of collaboration and communication while breaking the barriers of local practices. Ensure that the team uses simple cloud communication tools to write and communicate ideas, plan and follow through.

- Develop horizontal expertise in Mobile, Global Payments, Machine Learning, Social Media and Gamification.

- Facilitate efficient remote work by developers when needed to mitigate attrition risks

- Develop micro job descriptions and skill needs and consider engaging talent that can deliver specific needs

- Develop an outstanding front end engineering team which is key to build a successful consumer web company.

Present in Investor Meetings :

- Build quick demos and tools that can scale to present to a geographically distributed target investors.

- Articulate the uniqueness of our platform with depth of technology when needed in VC / Investor meetings.

- Present longer term vision and road map supporting our vision and articulate clear plans to get there.

- Articulate roughly a dozen or so patentable ideas with clear articulation and illustration to ensure that such ideas can be developed in the least possible time with minimal risk
