Chief Technical Officer - R&D - Lithium Battery

Job Responsibilities:

Role - The incumbent will drive technology strategy, and translate innovation into superior products for current and future-ready demand. He will set the vision for developing technology and deploying technological advancements to create product breakthroughs and lead R&D.

- Responsible for managing technology operations, overseeing companywide research and development activities and driving technology roadmap and activities to stay ahead of the curve.

- Responsible for understanding customer requirements, customer interactions and overseeing development of products and solutions as per clients- specifications/end use application. Develop customised applications.

- Develop advance battery technology and business-enabling products/ solutions for electric vehicles, energy storage systems and green energy solutions.

- Guide and implement an Advanced cell chemistry lithium ion cell production facility for NMC and LFP chemistries

- Guide development of new cell chemistries in association with leading research institutes .

- Evaluate emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for incorporating and acquiring latest technology through collaborations and M&A.

- Spearhead and lead company's collaborations with research institutions and partners, including creating a network of research partners for the company.

- Managing company intellectual property portfolio development and process development

- Build and lead a high-performing internal team to undertake technical prototyping, design, develop and delivery of products as per road map and objectives

Candidate Profile :

- The candidate should be B.E (Electrical/Electronic) with 10-15 years of experience in a similar role (minimum 4-5 years in Lithium-Ion battery design, engineering, R&D etc)

- Knowledge of lithium ion battery manufacturing, power electronics. Familiar with Cell manufacturing process
