ARAs Client Auto Comp (pseudonym) was established in Year 1991. They manufacture critical precision components like steering yokes (both hot/cold, Ferrous/nonferrous forging and sheet metal) steering joints various types of sub-assemblies such as slip shaft assemblies & I shaft assemblies, Steering Columns, Differential housings and steering gearbox housing; Tie rod ends & Ball joints, propeller shaft yokes, Spindle axle, Arms and levers, connecting rods etc. for HCVs and LCVs.

Their customers are all major Tier I companies in Steering System across domestic and international markets with over 80% of revenues coming from exports. AutoComp is trusted by Global OEMs and hence work only as OEMs suppliers with a very limited exposure to After market. We are approved tier II suppliers by most major car and truck manufacturers in North America and Europe. We also have the ability to deliver and service on a global platform making us an ideal choice for tier I customers in major global automotive hubs

The Role:

AutoComp is looking for a Chief Technical Officer who will lead our efforts for all matters related to technical enhancements in the existing product portfolio and further development of new product verticals and help us grow in this journey.

- Our ideal candidate will have complete hold on technical aspects auto component industry across different hot forging and machines products with excellent communication and organizational skills.


- He/she should have minimum 25 years of experience and the ability to perform under different business circumstances. This role requires a candidate with good interpersonal skills since you'll be required to lead different function like Engineering, New Product Development, Quality Assurance, teams at different locations, departments internally and externally.

- This position requires a high level of business acumen & technology awareness, giving a clear sense of purpose to a company and its employees. Must have a expert level knowledge of PLM and SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading the process of capability creation internally to develop and produce various machined auto components & Forged parts

- Driving technical enhancements and process standardization across all phases of product development and production.

- Ensuring organization competitiveness in terms technical know how, innovations and Operational Excellence.

- Experience in working with external stakeholders to understand customer and market requirements and internal stakeholders like design and R&D to develop various prototypes and products

- Lead Strategic projects w.r.t technological upliftment in the organisation, diversification & growth vertical.

- To drive profitability of the business by improving product design, manufacturing quality, and reducing conversion cost.

- Exposure of Equipment and machine buying is preferred.

- Good Exposure of Product development, testing and bringing it to the level of commercial.

- Thorough knowledge on latest engineering technique/International standards/- automation, machine operation, Design Calculations /Quality standards etc.

- Must be aware of the compliances under DSIR.

- Project Management life cycle

- Must have been Customer point of contact for all technical solutions and feasibility study about NPD especially with export customer.

- Solution provider via optimum process knowledge

- Must have exposure of converting RFQs into business.

Skills Required:

- Analytical skills to understand the revenue aspect of business and aligning his vertical accordingly

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Leading the team and take initiatives to develop products

- Six sigma green belt exposure and certificate (preferred but not mandatory)

- Must have a good business acumen

Qualifications & Experience:

- Educational Qualification (Regular): B.Tech and MBA/M.Tech from Premier Institute

- Experience: Not less than 25 years

- Industry Exposure: Manufacturing Unit, Auto comp (Tier I preferred)

- Computer Proficiency: SAP/PLM s/w

- Minimum 7 years as Engineering Head / Plant Head / Operations Head
