Role Description:
- Complete ownership and responsibility for acquisition, performance and retention of Technology, Products, IT Development & Infra teams
- Address all Technology and IT needs of the organization (internal, vendor related as well as customer end)
- Develop & execute complete Technology & IT framework and roadmap for the company
- Drive all Tech & IT projects for the company (ERP, CRM, HRIS, Digital Learning,
- eCommerce and functional Legacy Systems as well as their integrations)
- Manage and develop internal teams
- Engage with external vendors and technology associates, as when required
- Risk assessment and timely mitigation with respect to Technology & IT systems of the company
The broad responsibilities of a CTO & IT Infra Head would include but not limited to:
- Program implementation management of various current and forthcoming projects
- Understand requirements for new projects and guide the IT team on project planning,scheduling, reviewing and monitoring of the IT jobs at hand
- Manage project risks, delays, impact on main business as well as mitigation plans
- Put quality and process checks to ensure timely and to satisfaction delivery of all projects
- Build tools and plans for training modules around projects at hand
- Advice corporate leadership about the need for timely investments in IT
- Align the IT vision with the overall business strategy of the organization and be accountable for planning and execution of the IT vision to support business objectives
- Own and deliver IT initiatives and services to all business units and departments (Finance, HR, Marketing, Academic, Business Development, Customer Facing etc)
- Ensure IT projects are function smoothly and efficiently for all employees and customers (i.e. students and parents)
- Devise complete IT framework, technology procedures and practices along with key decision makers of the company
- Set up policies and structures for managing the underlying IT infrastructure including computers, servers, peripherals, telecommunication systems, internet connectivity,software applications, video content, LMS etc.
- Allocate specific roles and responsibilities to IT team
- Manage team needs and requirements, mentor them and infuse a teamwork ethic. As and when required, should be able to jump into the code himself/herself to lead by example and be on top of the work happening in the department
- Work with the management, IT team members and external partners to ensure that the IT infrastructure and digital assets are working efficiently and effectively.
- Plan and Execute for the Short/Medium and Long Range horizons
- To improve profitability through active IT initiatives and services
- Provide inspirational people leadership for the Management & Employees
- Ability to collaborate with a Founder and top management members
Desired Profile:
- A graduate from top engineering college, with high level experience in managing an IT setup
- A minimum of 15 years of operational experience in large organization.
- Candidate with experience in Education services and products will be preferred.
- Must have managerial, operational and administrative experience. Should be able to take quick decisions and ensure smooth running of a promoter driven organization.
- Ability to build teams independently and manage people efficiently in academic & administration team.
The role reports to the Director.
