Chief Strategy Officer - Pharma/FMCG

Our Client: We are currently working with a regional conglomerate headquartered out of Jeddah. They are looking for a seasoned strategy professional who can lead on overall business strategy for the group.

Your Role:

- Develop, expand and promote the profitability of Group subsidiaries by identifying and developing future business opportunities through mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, and the incubation of new businesses before they are handed over to operations.

- To develop and deploy the strategic long-term and short-term business plans for the organization based on relevant trend analysis and market research, and inputs from management and respective function heads, and guide subsidiaries in formulating their own strategies. Monitor the progress against the targeted goals, Consolidate and review the strategy & growth function against the Annual action plan.

- Overseeing the short and long term business planning activities, assist the business units to ensure they are aligning to the overall corporate objectives. Own the development and deployment of the performance management framework, report on the business performance at the holding and subsidiaries level.

- Facilitate the implementation and cascading of all strategic objectives, KPIs, targets and initiatives across all functions and business units. The organization is starting their IPO journey and prior experience in the same would be much preferred.

- We are looking for candidates who have 15+ years of experience from a top management consulting organization or currently leading the strategy department for a significantly sized organization. If you have covered diverse industries like consumer goods, pharma, healthcare, and manufacturing and have been a part of the digital transformation journey it would be an added advantage.

- Demonstrated experience presenting to C-Suite and Board level audiences. Visionary and Strategic thinking skills - great at seeing patterns and connecting the dots.

- The role will require frequent travel to Saudi Arabia if relocation is an issue.
