Chief Risk Officer
Key responsibilities:
- Majorly focused on Payment related Risk which includes Fraud Risk, Operational Risk, KYC Risk.
- The CRO's main objective is to identify, assess, and mitigate various types of risks that the payments bank may face, ensuring its financial stability and compliance with regulatory requirements. Leading implementation of ERMF, including underlying framework, policies, and standards across all the principal risk types inherent in the Bank's Strategy.
- Manage the risk management framework to facilitate the seamless integration of modern technology, encompassing critical frameworks such as AI/ML and Data Science Risk Management, Data Governance, Cloud Governance, API Risk Management, and Third Party Risk Management. Risk Management Strategy: Developing and implementing a comprehensive risk management strategy for the payments bank that aligns with its business objectives and risk appetite.
- Lead the RCSA, thematic reviews, and other non-RCSA measures to arrive at data-driven and evidence-based
a) Assessment of the effectiveness of frameworks, policies, and underlying controls
b) Performance against Risk Appetite Statement.
- Risk Assessment and Identification: Identifying and evaluating potential risks faced by the payments bank, such as operational risk, Fraud Risk, KYC Risk, cybersecurity risk, and regulatory compliance risk.
- Risk Mitigation and Control: Develop risk mitigation plans and controls to minimize the impact of identified risks and ensure that the bank operates within acceptable risk thresholds.
