COO – TRADING DIVISON
A. Key Job Responsibilities:
(1) Responsible for the full time business operations of the Group’s foray in Trading Division which deals in Institutional Sales through tender participation in varied products from PIN to SHIP.
(2) Responsible for sales, purchase and administrative affairs of the operations i.e. completely responsible for P&L of the business.
(3) Formulation and implementation of effective marketing and sales strategies
(4) Achieving sales and profit target on a sustained basis.
(5) Maintaining strong relationships with the principal suppliers, customers, Government procurement agencies, Ministries etc.
(6) Negotiating with suppliers, vendors, etc.
(7) Designs and ensures implementation of a system for tracking and monitoring relevant operational MIS. Trends depicted by the MIS are to be assessed and communicated to all on a predefined frequency highlighting priorities and improvements achieved.
(8) Establish and maintain appropriate internal cost control procedures for the business operations.
(9) Timely Submission of MIS Reports to the Management.
(10) Responsible for Human Resources.
B. Education and Experience
Management graduate, with specialization in marketing & finance, from a reputed business school from India with at least 20+ years of post-qualification experience in similar field particularly in marketing with complex commercial terms.
10+ years in similar management position preferably in Eastern Africa.
Strong in institutional sales
Experience in international procurement and logistics
Experience in trading and distribution
Experience in dealing with international corporations, Government agencies, etc.,
