COO - Trading Division
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full time business operations of the Group’s foray in Trading Division which deals in Institutional Sales through tender participation in varied products from PIN to SHIP.
- Responsible for sales, purchase and administrative affairs of the operations i.e. completely responsible for P&L of the business.
- Formulation and implementation of effective marketing and sales strategies
- Achieving sales and profit target on a sustained basis.
- Maintaining strong relationships with the principal suppliers, customers, Government procurement agencies, Ministries etc.
- Negotiating with suppliers, vendors, etc.
- Designs and ensures implementation of a system for tracking and monitoring relevant operational MIS. Trends depicted by the MIS are to be assessed and communicated to all on a predefined frequency highlighting priorities and improvements achieved.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal cost control procedures for the business operations.
- Timely Submission of MIS Reports to the Management.
- Responsible for Human Resources.
Education and Experience:
- 10+ years in similar management position preferably in Eastern Africa.
- Strong in institutional sales
- Experience in international procurement and logistics
- Experience in trading and distribution
- Experience in dealing with international corporations, Government agencies, etc.,
Other Criteria:
- Overseas experience especially in East or Western Africa is preferred
- Impeccable English writing skills is a must
