The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be tasked with guiding the Revenue & Operational functions of the Cable TV division. This position demands an adept leader with a robust foundation in sales and operational leadership within the cable, broadcasting, telecom, or DTH sectors, emphasizing strategic planning and team leadership. The COO will join forces with the South & East executive teams to craft and actualize strategies that bolster business development, operational productivity, and client contentment.
An ideal profile should have telecom/ DTH/ Cable TV experience of 20 years and have managed team of direct sales & distributors. Should be in a age range of 42 - 48 years and have managed business with 1000 crs turnover in South & East India together. Should be fluent in telgu & kannada language.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Strategy: Partner with the Circles' execution team to craft and implement strategic initiatives in alignment with the company's vision and annual operating plan, focusing on new subscriptions, renewals, customer retention, and expanding the network of Distributors and Local Cable Operators to augment revenue.
Operational Management: Supervise the comprehensive operational facets of the cable TV enterprise, covering customer support, technical operations, network administration, and programming.
Team Leadership: Direct and invigorate the operations team, managing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Process Enhancement: Pinpoint and harness opportunities to refine operational processes and heighten efficiency across the board.
Regulatory Adherence: Maintain awareness of sector regulations and assure adherence to all pertinent laws and standards.
Customer Experience: Foster a customer-first mindset and spearhead endeavors to elevate the customer experience.
Risk Management: Identify and alleviate operational risks to reduce business interruptions and safeguard continuous operations.
Technology Advancement: Keep abreast of the latest technological advances and trends in the industry, seeking chances for technological innovation.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work in concert with other departments such as sales, marketing, and technology to fulfill company goals and stimulate expansion.
Qualifications and Skills:
- An MBA degree.
- 20 - 24 years of professional experience, with at least 10 years in the cable, broadcasting, telecom, or DTH industries.
Aged between : 44 - 48 years.
- Preference for experience in the South and East markets and regional language proficiency.
- Present responsibility for the P&L of an organization at the CXO level.
- Extensive experience in a high-ranking leadership capacity within the cable TV, broadcasting, telecom, or DTH industries, with in-depth knowledge of cable TV operations and business dynamics.
- Demonstrated expertise in devising and actualizing strategic plans that drive business progression and operational distinction.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities, with a history of developing highly efficient teams.
- Keen analytical and problem-solving acumen, capable of pinpointing challenges and formulating impactful resolutions.
- Outstanding communicative and interpersonal prowess, with the capacity to engage constructively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptable and able to excel in a swiftly evolving, high-energy setting, adjusting to shifting priorities as needed.
