Our client is in the top retail companies in the India. They are looking for someone who can contribute to/head their Retail Operations team.
Description
Strategy Development, Planning and Reporting
- Ensuring that all financial and non-financial reporting requirements are met on a timely and regular basis
- Ensuring that reporting to the management is always totally 'transparent' and on a 'no surprises basis
Operational Management General operation management
- Retail Formulate and deliver approved annual budget and profit targets, sales, store overheads, etc.
- Assist in developing a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organisation
- Oversee company operations to insure profitability efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources
- Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the company.
- Work closely with Manager - Custom regulations in the following:
- Adhere to Customs Regulations of Government of India
Management, Training & Development and Employee Engagement
- Oversee Retail Manning and recruitment with Head - HR
- Ensuring safety of work force
- Monitor department performance against performance goals to ensure that progress is being made
- Ensure quality control of all company output as pertains to customer acquisition and delivery of services
Relationship Management
- Assist in developing and maintaining effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders including shareholders, founders, contract counter-parties, customers, and partners
- Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and at formal functions
- Represent company as official spokesperson for all means of mass communication
Personnel management and Leadership
- Ensure the development and maintenance of equitable personnel policies which are consistent with corporate policies and industry and markets in which the company operates
- Protect the interest and welfare of employees and establish suitable communication lines with them or their representatives
- Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining objectives
Compliance
- To ensure that the business code of conduct is in accordance with the laid legislative and regulatory compliance's under which the Company operates
- To keep a note of changing compliance requirements applicable to Company and ensuring complete compliance
Profile
- 18 - 20 Years of Retail Operations with at least last 3 years as heading Retail function
- Preferably from Luxury Retail / Duty Free background.
