Organisation Overview

Our programs and projects revolve around 3 verticals - Partnership, Entrepreneurship, Citizenship with Industry, Civil Society, Academia and Government to "Think Different, Act together!"
Role Description
The COO will oversee day-to-day operations backed by functional and financial performance for sustainability and impact. The COO will lead senior vertical managers and cross-functional teams to execute purpose driven strategies and plans. The COO will also be responsible to identify opportunities for development and growth.
Reporting - Managing Director
Location - Full-time on-site role in Mumbai
Working Days - Monday to Saturday (1st & 3rd partial)
Travel - As required
Objectives
- Operations Management: Lead the overall organisation by setting the strategic direction, identify key focus areas and priorities and develop plans to achieve goals.
- Resource Management: Manage available resources, including budget, staff, and other resources needed to achieve goals.
- Team Development: Build the capacity of the team, set performance expectations, provide guidance and mentorship for implementation of programs and projects
- Partnership Building: Prospect and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
- Account Management: Manage client communication, including regular updates, status reports, and addressing any concerns or issues raised by clients.
- Research & Development: Research and conceptualise new programs, Design and develop the same for new target audiences and/or geographies.
- Project Management: Oversee projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with team members and key stakeholders.
- Project Implementation: Implement short-term and long-term projects by developing and executing action plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure delivery of high-quality, impactful programs that meet the needs of stakeholders.
- Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting: Regular monitoring of activities and documentation for analysis and reporting to internal and external stakeholder.
Experience
1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations
2. At least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the social or sustainability sector.
3. Experience in implementing large projects and teams.
4. Proven track record of continuous improvement methodologies.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage accounts and drive cross-functional/sectoral collaboration.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in social and/or sustainability related field; Masters' degree preferred.
2. Strong leadership skills to deliver on target and outcomes as per plans.
3. Experience in inspiring and motivating teams to achieve their full potential.
4. Data-driven approach to decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internal and external to the organization.
