Chief Operating Officer - Manufacturing

Qualification: Graduate/post graduate in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering. A post graduate qualification in management from a reputed Institute would be an added advantage.

Age : 45-52 yrs

Experience : Minimum 20 years experience in a heavy engineering/ manufacturing or Fabrication Industry , 5 years of which should have been in a senior management role working with and leading strong cross functional teams towards achieving business goals .

Exposure and hands on experience in modern production management and quality systems like - lean manufacturing, six sigma etc.

Experience of working in a strong ERP culture would be highly desirable.

Job responsibility:

- Shall be accountable for the overall Profitability of the Heavy Engineering Division (Including Design/Manufacturing marketing) of the organization and would be responsible for meeting cost targets of the Division, with highest levels of customer satisfaction through achieving

- On Time delivery in Full

- Delivered Quality & service

- Efficient Costs through high productivity operating efficiency and Lowest levels of scrap and rejections

- Excellent Human relations and creating a dynamic and vibrant work environment.

- Development of a quality oriented vendor base with integrated high quality and delivery standards .

- Strategic procurement of materials.

- Coordinating seamless Technology absorption, New Product Processes/systems and absorption for production.

- Proactive up gradation of manufacturing facilities, including Capex initiation and control

- Creating a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.

- The incumbent should have proven capabilities of leadership, and should have worked in an environment of rapid growth and change. He should be from a heavy engineering background but will be responsible for all verticals.

Location: Kolkata Reporting: Shall report to the CEO of the company.
