COO will direct, administer, and coordinate the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives.
- He/she will lead and direct the following functions- Central Operations, Regional Operations, Human Resources, Information Systems & Technology, and technical functions of the business such as Employee Benefits, Marine, Liability, Fire and Machinery Breakdown.
- He/ She will report to Senior Vice President – BD and will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day operating activities.
- Develop and establish operating policies consistent with the company’s business objectives and ensure their adequate execution. Appraise and evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically.
- Direct the company operations to achieve budgeted results and other financial criteria/ goals.
- Ensures that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with IRDA Regulations
- Enable migration of the organization to a paperless office
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- Graduate /Post Graduation
- Associateship of the Insurance in Non life Branch or its equivalent
- Familiar with all Insurance industry regulations
Prior Work Experience:
- Minimum 10 Years experience in the underwriting and/or claims function in a Non Life Insurer of Repute in India. Of this at least 5 Years should have been in an underwriting function in a computerized environment
- Minimum 5 Years of working in an IT Company as a Domain Specialist
- Should have handled Vendor management/ identification of Service Providers etc.

- Strong in Problem Solving skills and strategic thinking abilities
- Should be Process Driven
- Basic understanding of the networking concepts, front end and back end software applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Local travel and could have travel within India – at this point predominantly South Indian cities for Client meetings and Branch Visits
