Job Summary:
The COS to the Managing Director (MD) will serve as a strategic advisor and trusted confidant to the MD, assisting in managing daily operations, strategic planning, and execution. This role requires a high degree of business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. The EA will act as a liaison between the MD and various departments, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Support:
- Assist the MD in developing and implementing business strategies.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to provide insights and recommendations.
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage key projects and initiatives on behalf of the MD.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
Communication and Coordination:
- Act as a primary point of contact between the MD and internal/external stakeholders.
- Prepare and review communications, presentations, and reports for the MD.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across departments.
Operational Support:
- Assist in the preparation of meetings, including agenda setting, documentation, and follow-up on action items.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a small team of support staff, providing guidance and direction.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Qualifications:
Education:
- MBA from a Premier Institute
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 - 14 years of experience in a similar role or in a strategic/operational position.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
