Overview -
The Architecture, Engineering and Corporate Functions team in is responsible for :
- Enterprise Architecture across all IT
- Engineering & Automation
- IT Capabilities for Finance, HR, Legal & Communications
- Enterprise Data Management
This is a team of approx. 200 IT professionals and a large number of external partner resources reporting to respective directors, who in turn report to VP.
This Planning & operations role plays an important coordination role in the above leadership team (VP and a number of Senior Directors) to support the effective delivery of the IT Business Plan.
The role will report directly to Vice President IT (who in turn reports to Global CIO, . It is a key role with Senior IT visibility and close interactions
Key Accountabilities -
- Manage the Project Portfolio for the team in conjunction with Central Program Management Office, consolidating and recommending project priorities,
- Engage with IT Directors and their project managers to review progress on key initiatives. Help institutionalize effective governance and visibility. Actively step in for select programs that may require interventions.
- Provide visibility to the Leadership team on programs Maintain a scorecard of activities and milestones of team goals, projects and operations.
- Oversee preparation and control of Financial budgets for the team
- Drive Optimization of costs and resources in the team through continuous improvement, benchmarking and greater visibility
- Drive Process Improvement initiatives like LEAN in the team
- Support optimal resourcing within the team, reviewing vacancies and utilization and supporting the hiring process including refining job descriptions and realignment of roles
- Efficiently implement key Corporate and Central IT initiatives as well as coordinate ad-hoc requests and project assignments. Act as lead point of contact for central programs.
- Drive engagement and effective communications in the team (with the support of administrative staff). Plan, coordinate and facilitate team meetings, Town Hall meetings and other events including establishing operating rhythms
Key Qualifications and Experiences
- Basic IT / Engineering degree is preferred
- Post Graduate MBA from a premier institution is preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, including an ability to communicate effectively at an executive level
- Strong Project management skills and experience in either directly leading or coordinating large Business Transformation Programs.
- Strong Commercial Acumen
- IT Leadership experience on one more technical areas is strongly preferred so as to be able work with technical leaders
- Experience in a Global Organisation with regular work with peers & team members across locations, timezones and cultures
- Ability to manage work and trade-offs against critical timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to builds a strong relationships
- Strong influencing skills going beyond hierarchy.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
