We are currently retained by a leading player in the energy business to hire a Chief of staff for them. The COS will play a critical role in helping in initiating and executing overall strategies for the organisation and work closely with the CEO's office. The role of the COS will be to ensure smooth functioning of the CEO's office, business excellence and creating all dashboards and review decks for the board.
The role will be overseeing various financial strategies, initiatives, investor relations, new launches, investor decks, etc. and should be able to research and analyse key industry trends, major players and competition, financial analyses, modelling, due diligence, and projections.
Before you hit the Apply key please note: Expertise in Corporate finance, M&A, fund raise, and investor decks is non-negotiable along with experience at least 3+ years of experience in Energy/Power/Mining Sector. Also, you must have worked as a COS with CFO or CEO.
Responsibilities-
- Lead various strategic projects for the CEO's office.
- Provide Business finance support, strategies, and initiatives.
- Explore and analyse new business opportunities from an M&A.
- Drive strategic initiatives for the organisation in line with the gaps identified through strong MIS & governance.
- Direct business planning efforts across all lines of business and functional areas.
- Ensure all initiatives from the CEO's office are well managed.
- Build effectiveness and efficiency within the organisation.
- Playing an influencer role with various stakeholders to get the correct status of the projects and work out possible solutions.
- Collaborate with functional leaders and teams to implement and institutionalise change.
- Work on the organisational strategic leavers along with the CEO for improvement & tracking.
To fit the bill:
- 11+ years of significant strategy, consulting experience with minimum 3+ years as a COS.
- Must have worked in Power/Energy/Mining sector for at least 3 Years.
- Excellent in critical thinking skills, data analytics, modelling, and operational analytics funnels.
- Worked on Business Finance Partnering and investor relations for an org.
- MBA preferred from a top B School.
- Strong stakeholder management is required.
- Excellent communication skills as well as presentation skills with the ability to conduct presentations comfortably to senior stakeholders.
