The Chief of Staff (to the CEO) has been identified as a critical role for the organization in our transformation journey. The role will act as a trusted advisor the CEO, and deliver strategic projects in a global scale. This role will serve as a focal point of communication and interaction within the business leadership team. This role will plan, coordinate, and implement key strategies on the behalf of executive leaders in the organization.
The role is expected to coordinate special projects and draft presentation materials for board meetings, investor conferences, and employee town halls. This role will run a program management office and will be involved in alliances and acquisitions, often working closely with the heads of Strategy, Sales, M&A, HR, and the company's innovation centre. This role offers an opportunity to build relationships and credibility with other direct reports to the CEO.
The role will Report to the Head of Strategy and Business Operations, and will be based in India:
Strategic :
1. Work with the CEO and BU Heads to define the strategy and run the management cadence for the business
2. Support CEO with org level Global initiatives.
3. Enable a culture of innovation & strategic direction
4. Effective in problem solving ability, passion to make a difference in the organization and who can take the ideas and convert them to reality.
5. Assist in driving the development of the 3-year strategy and aligning annual OKRs with it.
6. Oversee strategic initiatives from development through successful execution Partnering with business Leadership
7. Program management - act as an integrator connecting various workstreams that would otherwise work independently.
8. Manage the communication of CEO and the function with the broader organization
9. Draw insights from data and applying judgment and putting forward recommendations to support the growth and success of sales managers and key stakeholders.
10. Working with the management, lead the initial proposal of annual goals, budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
Operational:
1. Ensure reports contribute to business insight and decision-making and minimize overall report burden.
2. Lead the development and provision of routine and ad-hoc analytic reports to senior management regarding Business Development initiatives, customer segment performance, performance against goals, etc.
3. Provide operational insight to our businesses, and our growth initiatives, supporting the Head of Strategy and Business Operations, in day-to-day operational activities, and providing additional analytical insight to other Senior Leadership Team members as required based on strategic projects identified.
4. Manage the administration and execution of the team's goals, measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various sales processes involving alignment between multiple teams
5. Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and emerging 3rd party data sources as needed for analytics
6. Partners with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
Sales Ops
The core areas of responsibility include:
- Identifying and assessing gaps to drive new and renewal sales productivity, and success criteria. Based on findings, design and implement process changes in our core tools, suggest modifications to policies, rules of engagement and benchmark sales people against key drivers of productivity
- Driven by data & business intelligence, the incumbent's deliverables include detailed analytics models, custom performance analysis, salesforce standardisation and insights on pipeline
- Incumbent will drive data capture, analyses and intelligence in a systematic manner that enables business growth
- Provide inputs to redesign sales compensation plans working with CEO's office, BU leaders, Finance and HR
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead ongoing analysis of business performance to support strategy and sales planning
- Manage sales operations programs across multiple Business Units and stakeholders.
- Drive global standardization of program delivery practices, businesses processes, and reporting.
- Work directly within BU leaders and Finance to orchestrate metrics, key performance indicators and decision criteria.
- Utilize tools including, like Salesforce and Excel, to create dashboards and insights from data.
- Set-up the framework and effectively analyzing data and feedback for insights
- Manage delivery of sales modelling and analytics that contribute to sales budget planning process, quota build, and territory alignment
- Engages with Sales teams to accelerate deals, share operational practices and improve overall pipeline health
- Develop improved sales forecasting to provide executive team with pipeline insights by business lines, industry verticals and segments
- Design and interpret key sales performance metrics. Deliver insights & recommendations to enhance performance tracking
- Collect market intel towards better sales goalsetting using professional networks
- Advise Sales, BU heads and Total Rewards in redesigning Sales compensation plans, especially Sales commission and incentives
- Have good understanding of Salesforce CRM including metadata management, data quality and integrity, reports and dashboards, automation of business processes through workflow rules
