We are hiring for a Leading General Insurance Company.

Role: Chief Manager - Marine Underwriting

Job Purpose: This position is to profitably grow & manage marine cargo portfolio of Mumbai zone. Apart from the core acitivity of underwriting this posiiton involves effective & efficient process development for underwriting, document issunace. This position is also responsible for ensuring that marine business is done in compliance with guidelines of regulator, other government agencies & guidleines set by board of company. Overall profitablity of marine line of business needs to be maintain.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Business growth : Assist all stake holder in growth of business. Coordinating with sales team, IMD's for RFQ. Qoute issuance keep will within underwriting guideline. Once business is converted then policy issuance and marine portal set up.

GPW achieved Vs Budget:

- Profitability : Underwriting practise followed must lead to underwriting profit. One has to make sure that business growth should not be at cost of adverse bottom line.

Net loss ratio Vs budget loss ratio:

- Portfolio management : Review & analysis of portfolio in terms of both top & bottom line. Renewal tracking.

- To ensure that all regulatory, underwriting & other applicable government guidelines are followed. To ensure that all regulatory, underwriting & other applicable government guidelines are followed.

- To identify areas of improvement of team-mates & provide them resources required for improvement.
