Chief Manager - Legal - Paint Manufacturing

We are looking to Identify Chief Manager Legal for a leading multinational Paints Company.

Candidate Profile : 15 years + overall experience in litigation, civil and criminal law.

Location : Mumbai

Role :

- To provide leadership in legal expertise, including civil, criminal, IPR related laws for the company. Preparing the organization to meet future challenges, including compliance in the changing legal landscape.

- Deciding the approach strategy for litigations,whether to defend or to go to court, reassessing with the progress of the case.

- Regularly updating oneself on laws and sharing with superiors / stakeholders in the organization

- Advising the entire organization on any relevant areas, across functions

- Working on understanding and assessing the legal framework for mergers and acquisitions

- Informing and advising the organization on laws relevant to new strategic areas like home improvement

- Advising on IPR laws, ensuring adequate protection for the organization and deal with litigations

Operations :

- Reviewing and fine-tuning legal documents on a regular basis to provide best possible protection for the organization

- Advising on litigation faced by the company as well as subsidiaries

- Preparing notes and reviews on new and upcoming laws
