Educational qualification
Graduate in any discipline plus an LLB or directly a Law Graduate from a reputed institute/university
Requirement -
- Excellent drafting skills
- research and keeping up with changing laws (case law studies)
- Should be well versed with laws related to legal metrology, Contract law, consumer laws.
- Should be well versed with copyright law and trademark law.
- Should have handled general litigation.
- Good Communication skills
- Should be able to multi-task.
- Should have sound negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to prioritize.
- Should be a self-starter and should have ability to take initiatives
- Should have worked with reputed organization in the media and entertainment sector
Work experience Minimum 8-10 years in media and entertainment sector
Responsibilities
1. Non-Litigation
(a) Drafting, vetting and negotiations of LOI, MOU and agreements relating to
(i) Music acquisition, publishing and distribution.
(ii) Film production and all related agreements including artist, director, music director, set designer etc
(b) Handling contentious issues like infringement claims etc
(c) Drafting letters, representations and replies;
(d) Research
(e) Working closely with the business teams, understanding their legal needs and managing the same.
2. Litigation:
- Briefing advocates on record and counsels
- Participate in developing the litigation strategy
- Attending and keeping track of cases.
