Client: Reinsurance company Location: Mumbai Requirement: - Qualified actuary or nearing actuarial qualification with a recognized actuarial association Other requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or a related field. - Minimum 10-11 years- experience in handling various aspects of the actuarial or analytical function of an insurance/reinsurance company - Excellent oral and written Communication skills and ability to communicate complex problem to variety of stakeholders so as to achieve consensus. - Strong IT skills - sound working knowledge of MS Excel, Macros, MS Word and any actuarial/statistical software. Ability to work in cross-functional teams/projects. Job Description -&nbsp; - Pricing standard quotes with minimal supervision and delivering within the agreed timelines and within the established quality standards by effectively mobilizing the junior resources - Maintaining complete and accurate pricing documentation. - Completing necessary data analytics for the purpose of setting reasonable assumptions for pricing. - Interacting with clients on data and other issues to pricing is complete and accurate - Periodic updating the pricing and treaty/addendum/amendment templates - Pricing the Facultative cases referred and ensuring proper documentation for the same - Drafting proposal and treaty documentation and negotiation with client to ensure timely execution. - Assist with review of business and product mandates for the local business mandate - Work with BD, underwriting and claims to develop innovative and mutually beneficial business solution for the queries coming from clients - Contribute to new products and reinsurance structures design. - Manage the overall R&amp;D effort to ensure these opportunities are analyzed appropriately - Research and develop areas of pricing expertise as required to handle non-standard quotes. - Setting pricing bases for new products by collecting and analyzing India and other markets statistics - Liaise with Asia and Global product development and research specialists to learn from changes in international markets and how they can be implemented in the Indian market - Enhance brand and expertise by presenting relevant research with clients - Maintaining library of research information. - Lead a team of junior/student actuaries.
