Job Title: Chief Manager - Global Markets Group

Department: Treasury

Location: Mumbai

Job Purpose:

- To grow the business from foreign institutional investors and contribute to the Bank's revenues

- Driving and executing the strategy for foreign institutional business growth will be a core part of the job profile

- To identify and drive projects for business growth across various geographies on own initiative and ensuring delivery within timelines

- Collaboration and coordination with stakeholders such as treasury teams, business teams, technology teams, legal, compliance etc. and leverage the eco system to drive the business growth

- Launch new product initiatives to enhance the value proposition and meet emerging business requirements of foreign institutional client segments in various geographies

- Discussing and devising innovative strategies for expansion of business with line managers and senior management

- Developing and tracking performance metrics and regular updates and presentations to senior management

- Actively engage in developing policies and processes to improve desk efficiency and support new product initiatives

Technical Skills/Competencies

- High analytical skills

- Good soft skills with ability to effectively interact with stakeholders including operating teams and senior management

- A post graduate with a business / financial specialisation

- In depth knowledge of markets business conducted by bank or large corporate treasuries

- Technical knowledge of financial markets especially fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities markets

- Ability to use initiative and work with minimum supervision but ensuring, at the same time, that the line reports are kept fully informed at all times

- Ability to consider issues from a range of angles and propose creative solutions that assist the business in achieving its goals in a safe, compliant and controlled manner

- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with senior internal and external audiences

- Ability to effectively and impactfully engage with senior management

- Ability to make a real contribution in a rapidly changing environment and thrive on change and the need to learn rapidly

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all stakeholders

Knowledge and Expertise:

- Experience of dealing with foreign institutional investors with an in depth understanding of the regulatory environment

- Good understanding of financial markets and the evolving treasury products

- Detailed understanding of fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities markets

- Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft word/excel/power point

Experience and qualifications specific to the role

- Educated to post graduate level with a professional degree

- Minimum of 10-12 years- experience of dealing with financial markets

- Any other qualification

Key Issues over the next 12-24 months

- Driving and implementing strategy for growing the foreign institutional business for the Bank

- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to build a robust delivery mechanism supporting the business growth

- Contributing actively to meet Bank's growth targets
