Chief Manager/AVP - Enterprise Risk Management - Life Insurance

Our client is one of the leading private sector Life Insurance Company based at Mumbai.

Position: Chief Manager/AVP-ERM

Responsibilities:

- Assessing risks for new products and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.

- Asset Liability Management (ALM).

- Hedging of interest rate and other market risks using derivative instruments.

- Regular monitoring of mortality, persistency and expense risks.

- Development / Re-calibration of predictive model for demographic risk (such as mortality risk, early claims propensity model etc.).

- Review of resilience testing and economic capital reporting for risk Committee.

- Collaborate with various teams to enhance risk management practices.

- Preparing presentation & report for risk Committee.

Key Competencies:

- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and drive multiple projects.

Understanding of different aspects of work such as:

- Products and Pricing.

- Understanding of Insurance and Investments risk.

- Embedded Value/New business margin.

- Statutory Valuation/Solvency.

- Assumption setting and experience analysis.

- Asset side understanding.

- Economic Capital/RBC/Solvency II

- Understanding of different forms of reporting (MCEV, Statutory, IFRS, Solvency II etc.).

Experience & Education:

- Around 6-9 years of experience working in Actuarial function within the Life insurance industry (Core company/Actuarial consultants).

- Qualified/Nearly Qualified Actuary.

- Advanced Prophet Modelling, proficiency in excel/VBA and other MS office tools.

Key Additional Skills:

- Understanding of derivatives.

- Exposure to stochastic models and risk calibrations.

- Exposure and keenness to work on AI/ML based solutions.

- Knowledge of Python/R.

- Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
