Chief Internal Auditor - Petrochemical/Oil & Gas

Desired Skills and Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

- Professional certifications - CIA, CPA, SOCPA, ACA

- Bilingual candidates preferred (English + ARABIC)

- Minimum of 10 years of audit experience in a oil/gas/petrochemical refinery

- At least 5 years of experience during initial part of career in a Big 4 audit firm

- Experience working with TeamMate

Job Description:

The Chief Internal Auditor will report to the Internal Audit Director, and will manage a team of experienced and professionally qualified internal auditors. The role encompasses internal audit of the entire refinery operations, and will include leading the team to:

- Collect necessary information to risk assess financial processes, in accordance with latest and inter-nation auditing standards

- Design appropriate audit strategies based on risk assessments

- Allocation of audit plan execution and supervision to team

- Management of budgets and timelines to detect any mismanagement, fraud or waste

- Audit execution and follow up.

- Finalize audit reports on periodic basic for presentation to senior management
