To oversee the establishment and implementation of suitable IT infrastructure and maintenance of all IT, ERP and BI systems including hardware and applications across company in a cost effective manner to support the organizations' needs.
Responsibilities :
- Develop department budget for the year and ensure adherence to the same
- Prepare the long-term & short-term IT roadmap in collaboration with other department heads to optimize efficiencies and higher return on investment for IT projects
- Review IT and Communication Infrastructure requirements of the business and explore options to source best-in-class IT systems/technology/applications and services based on analysis of requirements from all Plants
- Ensure effective maintenance of the existing ERP, timely updates on modules and training of user departments on various modules of the ERP
- Guide development of in-house applications (in line with business requirements) and prioritization schedules while ensuring training to user departments
- Drive selection of vendors and vendor development for procurement of products and services; Lead negotiations with vendors/service providers to minimize procurement costs & ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers
- Ensure system uptime as per set standards by ensuring proactive upkeep and maintenance planning for the entire IT infrastructure
- Ensure timely completion of data management activities such as data backups, anti-virus scans and updates
- Develop standard processes (including SOPs)/guidelines & policies related to IT & ensure adherence to the same
- Drive implementation of the IT security policy. Periodically review the policy and system & ensure minimal security breaches
